Finally out!
… and still – as time flies it feels like yesterday that I met the 3 Jack Pattern guys in Zurich when they played the demo of the original on the flip to me (now on Subliminale Materiale EP /Lustpoderosa 05). I knew this is Jack – a clear hit!!! Nevertheless the voice and synth in a unique, poetic marriage that inspired me for a remix. It was so etheral and dreamy. It was the perfect counterpart to my idea to create a drum track completely from morphing 16ths. And my idea didn’t try to compete with the perfect original. I couldn’t do a better dance track.
So I jammed again with the Jacob Korn extended RC-808 – only tweaking volumes and its 30+ sound-transcending knobs on a restless staccato.
Check the dark synth roller and it’s Italian lyrics on the flip plus the Kris Baha remix! What a strong EP that will warp the Zurich boys to a new league!

The Rhythm Composer EP on Dutch label Bio Rhythm combines 2 years of refining the 4 drum tracks and a great cut of warm, round bass and harsh snares and cymbals from the Jacob Korn-custom-built RC-808 drum machine. My best friend also jammed along with me for the last track on the EP. I can tell you – he is a secret pattern wizard little apparent in his remaining output.

Bionda e Lupo are like little you’ll have heard before, a boy/girl band like no other. Synth wave is fed a line of modern alienation, delusory disco to a disdainful drum beat, house emptied and ridiculed. Rhythms are stark, melodies are as mechanical as the lyrics.
Zug Der Vögel is sparse, vocals intertwine in an empty embrace whilst bars sparkle. Твои Глаза [Twoi Glasza] is more playful. Bright words shimmer against sweeping strings. The past is parodied across the EP but nowhere more so than in Die Kinder Aus Dem Park. A former classic dug out before being peppered by machine gun percussion. The stilted rhyme of Eckstein closes, a ballad of bittersweet images and lost hopes.
