This is the recording of Dunkeltier’s aka SneakerDJ session at the pre-party for the STRCamp festival in Vilnius, Lithuania in July 2014.
Beyond my new EP which showcases the funky Italo-Wave-Pop side of my soul I wanted to hop back to the dirt I’m known for. The majority of the mix is exclusive shit from the wealth of Dresden producers.
It’s the vision and revision of my friends and my music – archaic, percussive, slammin’ music. This mix is really born from my social background and the minds of people I respect honestly…

‘Dunkeltier’ (German for animal of the night/dark; in Indonesian: binatang gelap) – a biweekly 45min radio show on a local radio station named VEDAC (radio suara visitami edukasi artista cendekia) in Yogyakarta, Central Java.
Chicago house was the last in the row of genres which first has to be introduced to my Indonesian audience before we will go the depths of my hard disc.
This music haunts me until Indonesia. I hope I’m able to give a proper introduction to Chicago house.
Down there is the mix without overtalk if you are not from Nusantara (the Indonesian islands) to understand the conversation in Indonesian. Up the mix with steady talk on what it is – in a mix of Indonesian and quirky English.
My ‘indonesian edit’ of my own track is actually a ‘sumatran edit’ to be more precise, as we broadcast from Java now…

WIB means ‘waktu Indonesia barat’ i.e. west Indonesian time. Anyway you’ll prefer a stream.
Probably it will be the first show in the archipelago which features chicago house, italo disco, minimal synth and suchlike. If anybody got to know an Indonesian project from the last 30 years dealing with synthesizer music I’d be happy to feature some relation to my setting in the show!
The launch of Dunkeltier will bring you some keen, but easy introduction to minimal synth music from France, Switzerland, Belgium and Germany.
In talk with me are Indonesians who are around by chance to present the show to Indonesians. Down the scrollin’ screen however is the instrumental version without any overtalk.

For the premiere of Italo disco music on Indonesian air I’m in talk with an alumni film student from Institut Seni Indonesia about club music, Yogya, me & him.
I chose a quick but wisely done selection of the golden age of Italo from 1981-1985.
