I took the chance to play one day after my own show Euromatic Tales on MR since I featured guests and didn’t play myself. Again I am presenting a niche, a feeling that is not en vogue and barely heard anywhere.
A jazzy intro by Italian art project GMM from the mid 80s (feat. A. Robotnick). Percussive oddities featuring all the latin drum section. Mixed with spheric chords in the focus, i.e. they are not just padding the leads and upfront vocals (I rarely ever use pads and chords in my own production).
These carefully selected treasures are to be found in the vast cat. of NYs iconic Strictly Rhythm or Italian Deep House label UMM. To avoid clashing scales I incorporate beat and dub versions on obscure house records from the 90s, which I found in the bins during my digging trips through the US and Canada.
To mingle the floating pads and rhythms I added some of my favorite acapellas … and bonus tracks from my own The Flow EP on Uncanny Valley Rec..
