Java/Sumatra EP (UV016)
  review on Juno

Sneaker makes his debut on Uncanny Valley, with an EP supposedly inspired by a hot, humid stay in Indonesia.
There’s certainly something decidedly sweaty and tropical about the intensely percussive “White Glow” (featuring guests Al Goz and Helena, whose stylish vocal perfectly fits the cacophonous, guitar-ridden groove), while “Misty Mirror” sounds like the product of a combination of tropical fever, and too many nights spent listening to eyeliner-wearing new wave and post punk records. The dubby, wide-eyed and decidedly out-there “Sumatra Rain” – a kind of alt-rock house track, with added post-punk attitude -is similarly inclined, while “Run To You” (a bizarre but brilliant Brian Adams cover) is deeper, but no less fuzzy. Interesting stuff, all told.

or in any other common online store. However, it’s more fun to pass by at your local record store, to chat, to recommend records and share oppinions with your friends – simply to have fun shopping records.

If you like the B2 “Run To You” you might like the Ingo Saenger mix on byte FM where he plays that lovely song of Sane and me along with other perfect summer tracks (lookin’ for music for your weekend trip by car?).
