Winds swirl on a cold night. Rain pelts thin window panes. Alone sits a figure. Eyes are full, his heart hollowed. Riccardi Schola is the man behind these images. His debut 12”, On My Mind, is a foursome of bitter break-ups and lonesome evenings. Piano keys conjure up tears, mascara streaking down cheeks as wine bottles roll empty on heavily carpeted floors. Vocals speak of pain, love sick melodies supported by slender snares. New wave echoes weaved with italo emotion for an EP of synthesizer solitude.
